# Nitro-Star SSi 1.0 Dunlop Badminton · Nitro-Star Updated on 2026-10-02 5.0 out of 5 1 review The Dunlop Nitro-Star SSi 1.0 is an entry-level racket with an aerodynamic aluminum and graphite frame, a thin throat, and a molded T-joint, which gives good durability. The shaft is full graphite, which improves power consistency compared to steel rackets. The manufacturer lists 93 g, a G5 grip, and a recommended maximum tension of 8.2 kg (about 18 lbs). It is an option for those starting badminton who want a more agile racket than steel ones, without paying for a full carbon one.
