Racquet Rank gathers public racquet data to help you choose. Here we explain, in plain terms, where the data comes from and what each score means.

Where the data comes from

  • Specs: the manufacturer's website first; then trusted stores.
  • Prices: read from store pages, and checked again every day. They are reference prices: the price that counts is the one at the store at the time of purchase.
  • Reviews: from people who bought at the stores and from the site's community, always with the source and only for the same version of the racquet.

RR Score

The RR Score runs from 0 to 100 and summarizes the data we have on each racquet within its sport.

Important: the RR Score is still evolving and is not a precise measure. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often the specs are missing data or there are no reviews from people who use it. Use the score as one more reference, alongside the specs and the reviews.

It combines three parts:

Part Weight What it looks at
Specs 55% The racquet's measurements (weight, head, balance, stiffness, shape, materials) compared with what exists on the market for the sport, always using the same yardstick
Approval from users 30% Star ratings from the stores and the community. With few reviews, the score stays close to the market average
Versatility 15% How many playing levels it suits well

When a part is missing for a sport, its weight goes to the others.

Junior, aluminum and entry-level racquets have a ceiling: they can be great for what they are meant to do, but they do not rank among the best in the sport.

The score appears as provisional when the specs are incomplete or when there are still few reviews. It changes as data arrives.

Range Minimum score
Excellent 90
Very good 80
Good 70

Value for money

We compare the RR Score with the lowest current price among the racquets in the same ranking. The best ratio of quality to price on the list gets 100; the others get their proportion relative to it.

Price badge (Great price, Good price)

It shows whether the current price is good, by comparing the best offer with the history of the last 90 days, with the other stores and with the store's "was" price. It is separate from the RR Score and never takes commission into account.

Rankings

The rankings order the published racquets by RR Score, by value for money or by price. No position is for sale.

Limits and corrections

Specs, summaries, strengths and cautions are put together with the help of artificial intelligence from public sources and may contain errors. Before buying, check the important information on the manufacturer's or the store's website. Found something wrong? Let us know through the Remove or edit content page.

Store links may lead to a different version, color or size: check with the store that it is the same product before buying.
