The Black Opal 14mm Elongated brings the Black Opal's Next Gem technology to an elongated shape of 16.5 x 7.3 to 7.5 inches, with a long 5.75-inch handle and a 4 1/8 circumference. The core is 14 mm G4 Aerospace solid foam with a Power Gel layer to return energy, the Carbon Lite structure keeps the paddle light, and the Shock Shield handle receives silicone to filter vibration. The Diamond Tough carbon face holds its texture longer. It weighs 8.0 to 8.3 oz, with a swing weight of 114 and a twist weight of 6.0.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%65
Approval from players35%78

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.

Buyer reviews

Average of the ratings given at each store, weighted by how many reviews each one has.

Store ratings may reflect the store experience (shipping, service), not only the racquet.
