The Joy is Shark's most compact kids' racket, at only 43 cm, made for small children who are starting out in beach tennis. It is built in fiberglass with EVA Soft White, which makes the hit soft with good ball exit. It weighs 275 to 285 g and has a 22 mm profile. The rough surface with 22 holes and porous treatment helps the child feel spin from the first lessons, and the racket comes with a cover.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%69
Approval from players35%65

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.

Kids/junior racquet: the RR Score for this category goes up to 60. It may be great for what it is designed for, but it does not rank among the best in the sport.
