The classic version uses a 5-ply wood blade with a thicker core and a larger hitting area, Hurricane 8 rubber with a No. 80 large-pore sponge on the black side and Tin Arc on the red. It is designed for fast attack with topspin and comes factory-assembled with strong glue, so changing the rubbers is difficult. The series runs from 3 to 9 stars.
