The 2018 Pure Drive is the ninth generation of Babolat's best-selling racquet and still circulates widely on the used market in Brazil. It weighs 300 g unstrung and has a 100 in² head, a 16x19 pattern and a 320 mm unstrung balance. It is a stiff racquet, at 72 RA as listed by the retailer, that delivers explosive power and easy ball exit from the baseline. In this version Babolat enlarged the FSI Power holes to loosen the strings more and updated the Cortex damper with viscoelastic rubber, which yields more spin and a little more comfort than the 2015.

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
