The Blade 98 16x19 V9 is the previous generation of Wilson's most popular control racquet and became even more sought after with the arrival of the V10 and the sales. It weighs 305 g unstrung and 323 g strung, with a 98 in² head, a thin 21 mm beam and a 16x19 pattern. Tennis Warehouse numbers show 62 RA and a swingweight of 324, with a 4-point head-light strung balance. The DirectConnect handle and braided basalt fiber gave more stability and a firmer feel than the V8, keeping the precision and touch that made the line famous.

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
