The Perseus Astral is JOOLA's recreational paddle in the Perseus shape, designed for beginners. It has a sandblasted carbon fiber face, which gives clean, predictable contact, a 14 mm honeycomb core, a white edge guard, and an NFC chip for registration. The handle is 5.5 inches and the Feel-Tec Pure grip is about 4.25 inches. The elongated shape helps reach balls far from the body, and the construction was made to give a controllable response without requiring the adjustment of a competition paddle. It is approved by USA Pickleball.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%66
Approval from players35%65

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
