Slightly thicker and more powerful version of the Hurricane 301, with 5 wood plies and 2 arylate carbon plies near the core, as in the Hurricane Long 5. Megaspin lists OFF class, speed 96, control 65 and an average weight of 89 g. The inner carbon only comes into play on hard strokes, such as counter-topspin, so short play stays soft. It works well with Chinese rubbers such as the Hurricane 3 and also with hard tensor rubbers. It is a more affordable alternative to top inner-carbon blades.
