The GR 303i is the current version of the classic GR 303, Yonex's entry-level racket with an aluminum frame and steel shaft, sold strung. According to Yonex, it has a neutral balance, stiff shaft, standard length and a 22 x 22 string pattern, with a weight in the 95 to 99 g range. It is made for schools, recreation and first training sessions: it withstands shocks and heavy use without cracking. The high weight and stiff shaft take away speed and require more arm than graphite rackets.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%70
Approval from players35%55

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.

Aluminum frame (entry-level racquet): the RR Score for this category goes up to 65. It may be great for what it is designed for, but it does not rank among the best in the sport.
