The LUXX Control Air Epic uses the same control recipe as the LUXX line in a traditional shape. The 20 mm X7 Thikset honeycomb core makes the paddle very stable and quiet, the Florek carbon fiber face helps with spin and the Edgeless Aero-DuraEdge keeps the profile clean. It weighs 7.9 to 8.3 oz, has a 5.25-inch handle and a face 7.5 inches wide. With a generous sweet spot and a soft feel, it is one of the most remembered control paddles for doubles, good for players who win points through consistency rather than power.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%64
Approval from players35%65

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
