The Vanguard Control Invikta was the first Vanguard with a raw carbon face, the T700 Raw QuadCarbon, and brought the 16 mm Vanguard X5+ honeycomb core developed in LABS Project 006. The elongated shape measures 16.45 x 7.44 inches, has a 5.5-inch octagonal handle and comes in midweight, 7.7 to 8.1 oz, and lightweight, 7.3 to 7.6 oz, versions. The average swing weight is 114. The rough face generates a lot of spin, the core absorbs vibration well and the result is a control paddle with reach and enough power to attack.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%68
Approval from players35%67

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.

Buyer reviews

Average of the ratings given at each store, weighted by how many reviews each one has.

Store ratings may reflect the store experience (shipping, service), not only the racquet.
