The Tempest TKO-C brings the TKO's elongated shape to the Tempest line, which prioritizes control and touch over the explosive power of the Bantam. It has a raw unidirectional PT-700 carbon face, a PT-07 stabilizing layer and a 14.3 mm Smart Response polymer honeycomb core. It measures 16.45 x 7.5 inches, weighs 7.8 to 8.2 oz and uses a 5.3-inch handle with a 4 1/4 grip. The extra reach helps on groundstrokes and the backhand, while the soft core makes dinks and drops more reliable.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%64
Approval from players35%71

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.

Buyer reviews

Average of the ratings given at each store, weighted by how many reviews each one has.

Store ratings may reflect the store experience (shipping, service), not only the racquet.
