The SLK Atlas XL is an entry-level control paddle with a carbon fiber face and a 16 mm Rev-Control honeycomb polymer core. The elongated shape measures 16.4 x 7.4 inches, weighs 7.6 to 8.1 oz and has a 5.75-inch handle, with an EdgeSentry guard on the edge. The carbon gives a cleaner response and more spin than the graphite or fiberglass faces in the same range, and the thick core holds the ball in the short game. A good choice for players who are starting out or improving and want a carbon paddle with reach.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%62
Approval from players35%88

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
