The SLK Halo Control XL is the control sibling of the Halo Power XL. It uses a raw T700 carbon fiber face and a thicker 16 mm Rev-Core honeycomb polymer core, which dampens impact and keeps the ball on the face longer. The elongated shape measures 16.4 x 7.4 inches, weighs 7.6 to 8.2 oz and has a 5.75-inch handle, good for the two-handed backhand. With an EdgeSentry guard and a mid-range price, it is a common choice for players moving on from their first paddle who want more control without losing reach.

How the RR Score was calculated

CriterionWeightScore
Specs65%68
Approval from players35%65

The RR Score is not yet a precise figure. It summarizes the data we have today (specs and reviews) and changes as more information comes in. A low score does not mean the racquet is bad and does not reflect its technical quality: often it is just missing data or reviews. The specs combine several sources and may have discrepancies: check the manufacturer's website and the store where you buy.
